Who is Shawn Coleman?

 Currently a member of the City of Boulder's Downtown Management Commision, Shawn Coleman  has been an active member of Boulder's political community since his first bid for City Council in 2005 when he recieved nearly four thousand votes on a shoe-string budget. Since then, Shawn has applied his common sense approach to municipal policy as an appointed member of the Downtown Management Commision as well as having served as secretary of the board of directors of the Nomad Theater and currently on the board of the Colorado Youth Symphony. Shawn Also served as finance manager for the succesful Yes on 3A! BVSD campaign in the fall of 2006. 

Biography

 30 year old Shawn Coleman earned his BM from the Juilliard School after starting undergraduate work at Oberlin College as a double major in Clarinet Performance and Political Science, He earned his MM from the University of Colorado Boulder. Professionally Shawn is the Sales and Finance Manager at Smooth Motors in Boulder as well as Principal Clarinetist of the Wyoming Symphony. In public life Shawn serves as one of the Citizen at Large members of the Downtown Management Commision (DMC)

Running for City Council has been a tremendous experience. It's rewarding to get such an overview of residents and their concerns. It's also been great getting to know my fellow candidates, and the many people who's paths I don't ordinarily cross. Thank You Boulder, for this experience.
